The story of this curated fabric
This curated masterpiece is one of those materials that, the moment you hold it in your hands, instantly evokes a sense of calm, lightness, and softness. Its warm ivory tone is no ordinary neutral: it is a shade that warms and welcomes a space, lending it elegance without clamor. The jacquard surface, with its irregular, almost organic pattern, seems to shift naturally as the light catches it. It neither glares nor shows off; rather, it breathes. It is a play of shadow and texture that imparts depth and a subtle beauty, best appreciated up close.

The history of weaving mills of Milan
In the old days Milan was a city of industrious weavers, quietly mastering the alchemy of silk and velvet in the shadows of the Duomo di Milano.
The story goes that in the 1970s, as Italy's textile mills were already producing the most innovative fabrics in the world, visionary designers stepped out of the shadows.
Among them was a former window dresser named Giorgio Armani. While rummaging through a fabric archive, he caught sight of a butter-soft, unlined piece of wool intended for menswear. It struck him: Why must a jacket be rigid and armor-like? He stripped away the heavy, stiff canvas padding and created the deconstructed jacket, forever transforming silhouettes and blending comfort with ultimate elegance.
This same genius for textiles is echoed in the kaleidoscopic worlds of houses like Loro Piana, Etro and Missoni. For the Missoni family, it was a whimsical symphony of zigzag knits and rich textures, while Etro turned the historic paisley pattern into a canvas for dreamlike color and material experimentation.
